BadgeIt!, Epeak Studio’s on-site badge printing and event check-in platform, was gaining serious traction in the US event management market. But its website wasn’t keeping pace. Built in-house and visually dated, it was overdue for a refresh — one that would finally match the ambition and professionalism of the product itself. The challenge

The old site wasn’t broken, it was holding BadgeIt! back. Developed internally, it carried all the hallmarks of a first-generation build: a visual identity that had aged out, a layout that didn’t guide visitors through the offer, and messaging that described the product without really selling it.
The headline above the fold said it all: “Badge Printing for Event Organizers.” Technically accurate, completely forgettable. In a competitive market where first impressions are everything, the site was failing to communicate the one thing that matters most – the benefit. No urgency. No hook. No clear reason why BadgeIt! was the smarter choice.
The challenge wasn’t to rebuild from scratch, but to do something arguably harder: elevate what was already there. Keep the substance, transform the experience- and bring it to market fast.

The strategy

Royal Cheese approached the project with one clear priority: make the site look the part, and make the message land the moment a visitor hits the page. No full copywriting overhaul, but a sharp, deliberate restructuring of how information was presented across roughly ten pages.
The strategic focus was clarity. Every section was rethought to guide visitors through BadgeIt!’s value in a logical, compelling sequence – from the immediate benefit, to the features, the use cases, and the call to action.
The most impactful move? Rewriting the above-the-fold headline. “Badge Printing for Event Organizers” became “Stop wasting time at check-in” – a direct, benefit-first statement that speaks straight to the real pain of event professionals. Five words that change everything.
Beyond the headline, the work focused on:
  • A modernized visual identity — cleaner, more polished, and built to command trust
  • A restructured page architecture — reducing friction and improving the reading flow
  • A consistent design system — applied across all pages for visual cohesion and scalability
  • A stronger visual hierarchy — directing attention precisely where it needs to land

The outcome
