eCommerce Design & Strategy for LA Businesses Ready to Sell More Online

Selling online has never been more accessible — but a great eCommerce strategy takes far more than a good-looking store.

User experience, brand consistency, product presentation, checkout optimization — every detail affects your conversion rate. We have the expertise and the track record to build an online store that makes you proud to sell, and makes your customers want to buy.

Most Online Stores Lose the Sale Before the Customer Even Reaches the Cart

The average eCommerce conversion rate in the US is between 1% and 4%. That means 96 out of 100 visitors who land on your store leave without buying. For most businesses, the problem isn't traffic — it's what happens after the click.

Slow load times, inconsistent branding, confusing navigation, product pages that don't answer the right questions, a checkout that creates friction instead of removing it — these are the conversion killers that most store owners never diagnose because they're too close to their own product.

In the Los Angeles market, where competition for consumer attention and trust is intense, an underperforming store doesn't just cost you sales. It costs you the brand perception that makes customers come back.

We fix that — from strategy to storefront to checkout.

Our eCommerce Approach

Every eCommerce project follows the same four-step process — designed to build a store that converts, not just one that looks good on launch day.

01. Audit, Strategy & Architecture

We start with research. Your market, your competitors, your audience, and — if you have an existing store — what's working and what's costing you sales. We define the site architecture, the conversion funnel, the product presentation strategy, and the channel mix. Strategy first. Always.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Shopify and not WooCommerce or another platform?

Shopify is the most reliable, scalable, and merchant-friendly eCommerce platform available for small and midsize businesses. It handles hosting, security, and updates so you can focus on selling. WooCommerce is a valid option for businesses already deeply integrated into WordPress, and we can build on it when it’s the right call — but Shopify is our default recommendation for standalone eCommerce projects.

A focused store — 20 to 50 products, standard pages — typically runs 6 to 10 weeks. A larger catalog, custom integrations, or a full brand identity build alongside the store will take longer. We always start with a detailed scope and timeline before any work begins.

Yes — and this is often the faster, smarter path. We audit your current store, identify what’s holding back conversions, and redesign from there. Your product catalog, existing SEO equity, and customer data all stay intact.

We don’t shoot in-house, but we brief and direct product photography as part of our projects and work with a trusted network of LA-based photographers. If your existing photography isn’t up to standard, we’ll tell you — because great photos are often the single biggest conversion lever in eCommerce.

We build the SEO foundation at launch. For paid acquisition — Meta ads, Google Shopping, influencer strategy — we either manage it as a retainer or brief your existing marketing team. We’ll tell you honestly which channels make the most sense for your product and margin structure.
